TheFourthSpace

There are the places where we live. The places where we work. The places where we gather.

And then there is another room.

A place shaped by what we have heard, seen, inherited, carried and imagined.

The room where culture stops being something you watch and becomes something you are inside of.

A rhythm travels.

An image travels.

A garment travels.

A story travels.

They cross cities, generations, disciplines and borders. They encounter something else. They change.

And eventually, they become part of us.

We are shaped by every cultural thing that leaves a mark.

Saint/Citizen

Saint

The maker. The artist. The person who introduces something into culture that did not exist before.

Citizen

The person who encounters it. Lives with it. Carries it. Transforms it through their own experience.

The Fourth Space is where they meet.

Culture does not end with the maker. It becomes complete through encounters.

TheSaint’sTable

Wind & Grind Edition. Designed and curated by Solange Knowles for Saint Heron.

Saint & Citizen and Saint Heron present

The Evening

Thetablebecomesalivingsculpture.

Saint Heron and Saint & Citizen come together to celebrate ceremony, design and fellowship through an immersive experience of design, music and fine dining.

Continuing Saint Heron’s tradition of immersive dinner gatherings, the evening unfolds as a surreal exploration of art, music, design and fine dining. The object blurs the boundary between furniture and installation, turning the act of dining into an environment.

An intimate evening of creativity and communion, set in the landscape of Upstate New York.

The Table

Thirtyconfigurations.Oneofthemisacircle.

The dinner table is drawn from Solange’s modular sofa, held in the Saint Heron Design Studio. Capable of more than thirty variations, its adaptive form becomes the foundation for a table designed specifically for communion.

Reimagined as a gathering place, it translates the sofa’s language of transition, movement and modularity into a functional sculptural object.

Two seating options. Both seat 64.

Small Matter

Glassasacontemplativemedium.

The Small Matter art objects bring a sculptural sensibility to the ritual of gathering. Each piece holds an interplay of sentiment, materiality and form.

The Decanters 001 turn glass into functional sculpture, exploring light, colour, air and liquid. Made with glassblower Jason McDonald in Woodstock, New York.

At the dinner, both become part of the shared tablescape rather than a display.

The Makers

Foodandsound,authored.

Chef Nadia Ogbor

A culinary storyteller bridging global heritage and local community. Shaped by her mother's Nigerian recipes and New York, she founded Little Kitchen in New Orleans, working in light, vibrant flavours, plant-based oils and rich ferments.

Standing on the Corner & Solange Knowles

An original score providing the sonic architecture for the evening. Developed in dialogue with the design, the culinary experience and the rituals of gathering, it moves through the dinner as a living, atmospheric element shaping arrival, communion and transition.

Artist Statement

“The vessels both reflect and crystalize time through material. Each is a manifestation of light, time and space, and really represents finding luminosity in our own evolutions.”
